On Tuesday 14th February we attended the opening of Boatique, a new boating shop, in Hart Street.
Boatique is the new business venture of Gillian Nahum, owner of Henley Sales and Charter.
Gillian’s shop provides for all boating needs from clothing to furniture.

1. A new state of the art gym, Urban Fitness, will be opening in Henley this April.
The gym will at The Oast House in greys road car park. The site has previously been used as a nightclub and most recently as lap dancing club ‘Diamonds and Pearls’.

Doug Allan is a freelance wildlife and documentary cameraman who has worked on programmes such as Frozen Planet and Ocean Giants. On Sunday he was at the Kenton theatre sharing some of his many wildlife experiences and adventures enjoyed over years of diving, film making and photography. Last Thursday View TV Henley caught up with him at the Broadcast Video Exhibition at Earls Court.

1. Olympic Torch
The Olympic Torch will end its tour of Oxfordshire at Henley-on-Thames.
From its final location in Oxfordshire it will be taken down the River Thames in a rowing boat to Reading on 10th July 2012.
The full 70-day tour around the UK will be carried by 8,000 inspirational torchbearers and take in more than 1,000 different locations.
