New Tesco store to open at former Dolphin pub site in Springbourne

Supermarket giant Tesco has confirmed it will be opening a store on the site of a pub that closed suddenly in August. Staff and regulars turned up at the Dolphin pub in Holdenhurst Road, Springbourne, to be told it had shut without notice. Developers guilty of killing trees to build £11.2m Sandbanks homes

Two property developers have been found guilty over the deaths of five protected trees standing in the way of their £11.2 million Sandbanks housing scheme. Alistair Collier, 41, and Harvey Lee, 66, were convicted of five offences of causing or permitting the trees to be destroyed and will be sentenced at a later date.
