The University of Ulster has said it will offer about one hundred extra places within it’s engineering faculty after an admissions email error was sent to hundreds of students last Thursday.
The University sent an email of acceptance and an offer of a place to around 370 people for a course with only 180 places.
Professor Richard Millar has said that up to 100 extra student may have to be accommodated on the course and that extra teaching and pastoral support had already been put in place.
